African blackwood is one of the hardest woods in the world. On the Janka scale it measures 16320N and Red Oak measures 5700N. This pen has a beautiful classic look to it. The wood has 22 coats of finish and polished to achieve the glass like appearance. included in the price is a pen box, a velvet sleeve and black ink. Blue ink is available upon request.
